A free PNGTuber tool that brings your character to life in the browser. Characters you made in CHARAT DRESSUP, or templates, lip-sync to your voice through the mic. No sign-up or install needed, and it works for streaming with OBS and calls on Discord.

How to use

  1. Choose a character

    Pick from “Your characters” or the templates. Characters you made in CHARAT DRESSUP appear under “Your characters”.

  2. Turn on the mic

    Allow microphone access and speak — the character's mouth moves with your voice. If the mouth moves even when you're not talking, lower the sensitivity.

  3. Show it in streams and calls

    Capture this window in OBS or Discord. For details, see “Streaming with OBS” and “Using it on Discord” below.

  1. Add a “Window Capture” source in OBS and select this window.
  2. Crop the capture so only the character area shows.
  3. Add a “Chroma Key” filter to the source to make the background color transparent.

Choose a background color your character doesn't use. If your character has green clothes or hair, switching to blue or pink makes the background easier to remove.

Using it on Discord

Select this window when you share your screen.

To show it as a camera, capture the character in OBS and click “Start Virtual Camera”. Then choose “OBS Virtual Camera” in Discord's camera settings.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. It's free, with no sign-up or install. Just open it in your browser. If you stream with OBS, you'll need OBS separately.

Is my mic audio sent anywhere?

This tool never sends your mic audio to a server. The audio is only used on your device to move the character's mouth.

The mouth doesn't move when I speak.

Check that your browser is allowed to use the microphone, and choose the mic you want from the list.

The mouth opens when the volume meter passes the green line. If the meter moves but the mouth doesn't open, raise the sensitivity.

How can I keep the character moving while I do other things?

“Pop out” shows the character in a small window that stays on top. It isn't hidden behind other windows, so the captured video is less likely to freeze.

This works in Chrome and Edge on PC.

Can I use it in veadotube or PNGTuber Plus?

Characters you made in CHARAT DRESSUP can be saved as transparent PNGs and used in each app.

In the character maker, switch the eyes and mouth to make these four images:

  • Idle: eyes open, mouth closed
  • Talking: eyes and mouth open
  • Blink: eyes and mouth closed
  • Talking + blink: eyes closed, mouth open

Then assign the saved images to each expression in your app.
